Why we're building this

Plenty of people want to help. It's just too hard to find where.

The Northern Rivers is full of groups doing great work, and full of locals who'd happily pitch in. But events are spread across websites, Facebook groups, Instagram pages and noticeboards, so unless you already know where to look, they're easy to miss. Ampacx° brings them into one place, and makes turning up worth it.

1

One place to find it all

See what’s on across the region, events and volunteer shifts, in one list by date and area.

2

Easy to get involved

Find something, turn up, scan in. No chasing details across five different pages.

3

A reason to come back

Points, levels and rewards from local businesses keep people turning up.

How it works

Good for the community.
Good for local business.

Local groups list what’s on

Events and regular volunteer shifts, from clean-ups and working bees to workshops and film nights.

Locals scan in

They earn points and level up every time they turn up.

Businesses reward them

Each new level unlocks a reward, like a coffee or a loaf of sourdough.

What counts

Everything on Ampacx° backs a UN Sustainable Development Goal

The UN's 17 Sustainable Development Goals cover looking after the environment, people and community. Every event or regular volunteer shift on Ampacx° has to line up with at least one of them.

To be listed, it must

  • Be open to the public. Ticketed events are fine.
  • Be run by a verified local organisation.
  • Teach something, or have a positive environmental or social impact.
  • Line up with at least one UN Sustainable Development Goal.
